Versatility is the keyword
for L & J's Blueswing. One minute
they sound like the smooth swing bands of
the 1930's & 40's, the next minute,
they sound like the "rave up"
blues bands of the 1950's and beyond.
Lex Romane plays guitar,
electric bass, and sings most of the
songs. Joe Riillo plays
baritone,alto,soprano, and tenor
saxophones, clarinet and flute, and sings
backup vocals. Jon Ross plays acoustic
and electric bass, guitar, and sings lead
and backup vocals. Per Hansen lays down
the "the big back beat" on
drums. Lex and Joe's Blueswing can play
to a "listening" audience, but
what really turns this band on high is a
good "dancing crowd". For a
